Enterprise Europe NI introduces its new Tenders Alert Service

The Tenders Alert Service is hosted by Enterprise Europe NI for Invest NI. It enables companies to identify local and international contract opportunities from a wide range of public sector organisations via a daily alerting service. In 2010, 58 companies on the service won 114 contracts potentially worth £239 million.

Every week Tendertap, a web-based tender alerts service searches about 8,000 opportunities which are gathered from various websites and newspapers, and filters them to alert clients to the opportunities most relevant to them. Most are from Tenders Electronic Daily - http://ted.europa.eu, the online database of higher value European tenders and contracts. Other sources include:

- Irish public tenders - http://www.e-tenders.gov.ie

- Public Contracts Scotland - http://www.publiccontractsscotland.gov.uk

- US Federal Contracts

How it works

Subscribers can set up and maintain their own search profile through the Tendertap website, with as much help from the Tenders Alert Service team as they need. They can add or delete keywords and other search filters as required to ensure that they receive the most relevant tenders. Tender opportunities can be received through a daily email alert, an RSS feed, or both.

The facility also has market analysis tools to identify market trends and future opportunities, locate new customers, and identify and monitor competitors. It also includes a translation tool for seven western European languages, enabling subscribers to translate notice to English.

The team can also offer guidance on:

- Tendering procedures

- UK and EU Public Procurement Regulations

- Supplying to local government, education boards, the health sector and utility companies

The charge for this service is £100 plus vat per annum. For more information contact Helen McKee of the Tenders Alert Service team on 028 9069 8788 or helen.mckee@investni.com
